Corporate Philanthropy Winner 2021

Once again, Durham and Bates Agencies, Inc. was recognized as a Top Ten Company by the Portland Business Journal’s annual Corporate Philanthropy Awards in the small business category (revenue under $10 million) for the fourth year in a row in September 2021. The Portland Business Journal honors the top ten companies in four different revenue categories each year who are displaying exemplary philanthropic practices and developing innovative and unique partnerships between companies and nonprofits.

Durham and Bates’ provides financial support to many worthy causes, and our associates donate considerable support with volunteer hours. Make More Happen Award

Durham & Bates Agencies, Inc. was selected as a Make More Happen Award winner in October 2021 for our volunteer work with Albertina Kerr! This crucial organization takes on the important mission to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and other social barriers to lead self-determined lives and reach their full potential.

Along with being named a Make More Happen Award winner, Liberty Mutual Insurance and Safeco Insurance made a $5,000 donation to Albertina Kerr in our honor. Additionally, Durham and Bates had the opportunity to secure another $5, 000 for Albertina Kerr by earning 500 online votes for our cause. Fortunately, our supporters rallied, and we are thrilled to say that Albertina Kerr received the full $10,000 award!

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Albertina Kerr for their tireless work to assist those in need, and to Liberty Mutual and Safeco for helping Albertina Kerr obtain a new clinician so they can serve more of our vulnerable population.
